    TMDB: Reclusive author Loretta Sage writes about exotic places in her popular adventure novels that feature a handsome cover model named Alan. While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta gets kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who hopes she can lead him to the ancient city’s lost treasure that featured in her latest story. Alan, determined to prove he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, sets off to rescue her.

    Our Comments: √ 07-03-2023 at our place in Niagara (PS, HS). Enjoyable entertainment with stellar performances by Keaton, Nicholson, etc. 4 star.

    Clean Review: From a clean perspective, there are a few scenes that may be of concern. For example, the beginnings of an unmarried couple getting intimate, and very brief partially nude scene that’s actually very funny, and honestly shouldn’t put anyone’s knickers in a knot. On morality levels, this is a fairly average film. Adults, view it at your discretion. Not suitable for children or young impressionable teens. Clean rating: 3.

    TMDB: Harry Sanborn is an aged music industry exec with a fondness for younger women like Marin, his latest trophy girlfriend. Things get a little awkward when Harry suffers a heart attack at the home of Marin’s mother, Erica. Left in the care of Erica and his doctor, a love triangle starts to take shape.

    Our Comments: √ 07-01-2023. PS, HS, SS, at our place in Niagara. Fun little frantic number with good wit and enjoyment. Very good performances by McAdams, Ford, and Keaton. 3.5 star.

    TMDB: A young and devoted morning television producer is hired as an executive producer on a long-running morning show at a once-prominent but currently failing station in New York City. Eager to keep the show on air, she recruits a former news journalist and anchor who disapproves of co-hosting a show that does not deal with real news stories.

    Our Comments: √ 06-30-2023. PS, HS in Niagara. Always a lovely movie with a nice story and beautiful scenery. But this last time, I have to say, I’m disappointed in the lax sexuality. Enjoyment rating: 3.5 star.

    TMDB: “After a rough divorce, Frances, a 35 year old book editor from San Francisco takes a tour of Tuscany at the urgings of her friends. On a whim she buys Bramasole, a run down villa in the Tuscan countryside and begins to piece her life together starting with the villa and finds that life sometimes has unexpected ways of giving her everything she wanted.”

    Our Comments: 06-25-2023 at our place in Niagara (PS, HS, NS). It needs to be understood that there are many moral issues (making a sport of theft, strong sexual themes and scenes, etc.). With these comments duly stated, and if the audience is well aware of these issues, then read on. It’s an entertaining premise and a fun, light-hearted exploration of the fantasy of pulling off the perfect heist, with wit and mastery by the wealthy perpetrator (Thomas Crown, played by Pierce Brosnan). Enjoyment rating: 4 star

    TMDB: “A very rich and successful [business man] amuses himself by stealing artwork, but may have met his match in a seductive [insurance investigator].”

    Our Comments: √ 06-11-2023 (watched it on the Blu-Ray that we own) at our place in Niagara (PS, HS, NS). This is an excellent Action Sci-Fi. Their visit to the past is very well portrayed. There are an abundance of things to watch, consider, and keep track of for the viewer. Very entertaining. Enjoyment rating: 4 star

    TMBD: “[Byline: ‘To save the future, they must alter the past.’] The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods as they join forces with their younger selves in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.”

    Our Comments: 06-10-2023 at our place in Niagara (PS, HS, NS). A strange type of comedy/adventure. Subtle wit and non-mainstream quirky, humanistic humor. If you want to try something quite different, then this could be worth a watch. Enjoyment rating: 3.5 star

    TMDB: “Three American brothers who have not spoken to each other in a year set off on a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and bond with each other — to become brothers again like they used to be. Their “spiritual quest”, however, veers rapidly off-course (due to events involving over-the-counter pain killers, Indian cough syrup, and pepper spray).”

    Our Comments: √ 06-09-2023 at our place in Niagara (PS, HS, NS?). One of the funniest movies out there! One blunder and mishap after another are carefully coreographed by Blake Edwards and masterfully executed by Peter Sellers. Very very funny. Enjoyment rating: 4 star

    TMDB: Hrundi V. Bakshi, an accident-prone actor from India, is accidentally put on the guest list for an upcoming party at the home of a Hollywood film producer. Unfortunately, from the moment he arrives, one thing after another goes wrong with compounding effect.

    TMBD: “On July 2, a giant alien mothership enters orbit around Earth and deploys several dozen saucer-shaped ‘destroyer’ spacecraft that quickly lay waste to major cities around the planet. On July 3, the United States conducts a coordinated counterattack that fails. On July 4, a plan is devised to gain access to the interior of the alien mothership in space, in order to plant a nuclear missile.”
