My Comments: √ Watched it many times, including on 03-19-2023 at our place in Niagara, and again on 05-04-2024, (PS, HS). One of our all time favorite classics (in our top 3 or 4); and perhaps in the TOP TWO of Fred and Ginger movies. A cute musical romance in that 1930’s style. A well-crafted classic that just feels right from one end to the other. The misunderstanding of who Fred’s character really is brings about a lot of entertainment. Fred and Ginger have amazing chemistry in this film and their dancing together is sublime. Enjoyment rating: 4.5 star.
My Comments: 03-18-2023 at our place in Niagara with NS. Watched on Netflix. Good premise, production and cast. Very good flick. Enjoyment Rating: 3.5 star.
√ Watched it 03-18-2023 at our place in Niagara (PS, HS). Excellent interaction between the film’s 3 main characters (Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, and Ronald Colman). It’s an excellent commentary on the interplay on law, morality, and common sense in society. There’s romance brewing, but you can’t tell right away who’s going to get the girl. A wonderful classic.
Watched It On: 03-04-2023 at A&C’s place. Truly a beautiful classic romance. Excellent chemistry between Ronald Colman and Greer Garson. Heart wrenching. Thankfully a happy ending.

Watched at Ash’s house in two parts. First half on Easter Sunday, then finished it 04/23/2022.
My Comments: We try to watch this movie every Easter. This is a classic movie in every sense of the word. Starring Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, Peter Lawford and Ann Miller. Directed by Charles Walters (known for The Unsinkable Molly Brown, 1964; and Ask Any Girl, 1959). Screenplay by Sidney Sheldon. The music is by Irving Berlin (See Britannica and his official site) and includes the songs “Easter Parade”, “Steppin’ Out with My Baby”, and “We’re a Couple of Swells.”
This is a feel good musical that isn’t so crazy full of musical numbers that you want to run for the hills. Most of them fit in quite naturally. There are two songs we usually fast-forward through because they’re a bit monotonous. Overall, the story is loveable. Each of the four main characters are well cast and do an excellent job as actors. In conclusion: the flick has a cute story, excellent cast, and gorgeous costumes! I must also mention Jules Munshin in his funny bit showing how he makes his “salade francois” – caesar salad. Toss toss, mix mix. Pure delight!
Jules Munshin as the waiter
Trivia: Gene Kelly was first set to play Don, but he broke his ankle when he kicked his foot in anger after losing a volleyball game. He suggested Fred Astaire as his replacement. Cyd Charisse was to play the role of Nadine, but she had to drop out due to a torn ligament. Ann Miller was her replacement. Judy Garland had never met Astaire, and while she was a major star, she was still very shy about speaking with him until they were formally introduced.
I give Easter Parade 4.5 stars for watching pleasure and a perfect Clean5 morality rating.

My Comments: The main character, Max (Russell Crowe), is a London-based high flying stock trader who is a selfish opportunist. An interesting story-line is interspersed with pleasant childhood memories which take place at his uncle’s winery in France. He returns to the winery and its lush vineyards after receiving a notice that his uncle and childhood mentor has died and left the property to him. The movie weaves a pleasant and interesting storyline.
The movie has quite a few moral issues, which include an unmarried couple having sex, partial nudity and about 20 obscenities. This movie is not necessarily a show-stopper for adult viewers. not illicit and the salty language and the occasional moral oversteps do fit in with the setting of this movie. But these are the parameters to consider. This is a witty and intelligently written story that has the beautiful backdrop of vineyards and French culture, and was therefore very endearing in that regard.
ENJOYMENT RATING: I give it 4 stars.Clean rating: 2.5 (quite a few moral issues; watch at your discretion).
Dove Review excerpt: While having an interesting storyline and some fun moments, “A Good Year” is filled with objectionable material for the family in four out of six Dove categories (sex, language, drugs, nudity).

My Comments: A 9 episode mini-series with MCU characters Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision in quite the twist for Marvel/Disney. This is a creative and entertaining TV series with a lot of things that make it endearing. However, since it does deal with a witch who performs massive feats of magic, I cannot recommend this series to families that aim to respect biblical values. ENJOYMENT RATING: I give it 3.5 stars. UPDATED MARCH 10, 2024 | ORIGINAL REVIEW MAY 1, 2020
Our Comments: This is a well-made movie and it holds up after all these years. The movie is full of suspense, action, and drama. The character development is top-notch. The story is emotionally riveting and it makes you root for Jason Bourne. Although he was a trained assassin, essentially brainwashed by the government. Now in his state of amnesia, he’s basically a good guy that is thrust into all kinds of mayhem by a super-secret department of the CIA who now want to get rid of him. You want him to succeed. Enjoyment Rating: 4.

The frequent strong language and the violence make this movie unsuitable for children and young teens. For adults, we would agree that it deserves some leeway because of its other merits. Discerning adults can make a choice here. With these provisos, this is one of the finest action movies you’ll experience. Note: the sexual side of things is not much of a problem. Nothing graphic.
CLEAN RATING: Clean 3= Average for a Mainstream Film (several moral issues; watch at your discretion)
My Comments: This movie may be equally as good as Spiderman 2, which is a masterpiece. This movie has excellent action, a complex & well written story, good character development, and fine examples of biblical virtue. In the first part of the film, Peter Parker has finally created a balance between his personal life and his Spider-Man responsibilities. He enjoys public recognition for his heroism, and he‘s pursued by a new girl. But then Peter is engulfed in a black alien substance with an influence over him that makes him aggressive and self-serving. He starts to go down a road of destruction, both personally, and as a dark-suited superhero. He faces major battles with three villains in this film, which weaves into big adventures. There is a strong message of values, such as forgiveness, self-sacrifice, and doing what is right. This is an outstanding film. ENJOYMENT RATING: 4.5 stars.
