Our Review: ✔ Watched it on 12-25-2023 (PS, HS in Niagara). This is another movie that has been a family tradition since it came out over 30 years ago. It is incredibly funny and entertaining. That said, there are several scenes that can grate on viewers from a morality standpoint. More below. Enjoyment rating: 4 stars.
Clean Review: From a clean standpoint, there are several moral issues. Immodest views of women, the male protagonist side-stepping that he’s married in the presence of a pretty shop clerk, rude behavior, innuendo, and more. These are downfalls. They fit in with the movie’s lampoon style, but it could have been just as funny without any of this. It is what it is. A very funny movie, but it barely achieves a Clean Rating of 3.
TMDB: It’s Christmastime, and the Griswolds are preparing for a family seasonal celebration. But things never run smoothly for Clark, his wife Ellen, and their two kids. Clark’s continual bad luck is worsened by his obnoxious family guests, but he manages to keep going, knowing that his Christmas bonus is due soon.

New to the concept of movies rated for morality?
This site is maintained by a small group of family and friends. If you happened upon us, welcome. We love movies. As Christians we endeavor to do things in a morally honorable way. That includes the movies we view. What drives us in everything we do is our faith in God. We developed a Clean Rating System to help us navigate the movies we watch with Christian values in mind. Our perspective is not puritanical. We try to keep it real.
