- Being that this is a site that concerns itself with Judeo-Christian values, “moral issues” refers to non suitability due to sexual content (negative measure) either visually or by situation; violence, language, nudity, the occult, frightening scenes, or any other behavior that is morally objectionable. We will give a bit of leeway on some of these to allow for relevant characters or situations required for the story to work, for example, realistic behavior of a crime figure or villain. We recognize that even within our family, some of us have unique sensitivities or varied laxities. Our reviews will aim to be respectful and helpful for each of us.
Clean Ratings
5 = Highest Rating, Morally Clean
4 = Quite Decent
3 = Average for a Mainstream Film (several moral* issues; watch at your discretion)
2 = Lots of Moral* Issues, Not Suitable
1 = Disturbing Immorality
Rationale for Clean Ratings
This site is maintained by a small group of family and friends. If you happened upon us, welcome. We love movies. As Christians we endeavor to do things in a morally honorable way. That includes the movies we view. What drives us in everything we do is our faith in God. We developed this Clean Rating System to help us navigate the movies we watch with Christian values in mind. Our perspective is not puritanical. We try to keep it real.
